Korean ASTRO (KASTRO) is a professional organization for Radiation Oncologists of Korean heritage. We promote scientific and educational activities for members, and foster closer relationships with the Radiation Oncology Societies in Korea. Members include radiation oncologists, physicists, radiation biologists, and dosimetrists of Korean origin or descent who are actively engaged in the practice of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics in the United States or Canada.

1970 : First ASTRO meeting in Scottsdale, AZ
1986 : KASTRO was created by founding President Dr Noah Choi
1988 : Resident Research Award was created for Korean graduates
1990 : Board of trustees established
1995 : Resident Research Award was created for US graduates
2004 : First US graduate became Vice President Dr Chul-Soo Ha
2004 : KOSRO Fellowship Award was created for US graduates
2009 : First US graduate became President of KASTRO
2016 : KASTRO achieves non-profit status
2018 : KASTRO mentorship program established
2021 : Robert Y Kim Award established
2023 : KASTRO Golf Tournament tradition revived
2023 : Inaugural KASTRO Lifetime Achievement Award
